This analytics team applies world-class data analysis techniques and uses these methods to offer clients the most powerful customer insights. This involves hands-on delivery of analytical projects including segmentation development, strategic analysis project, Pitch proposals support, category management analysis and post campaign analysis.
The data analyst position is responsible for the hands-on delivery of analytical projects.
The position reports to the head of strategy and is based in Cape Town.
Key responsibilities
- Data and Information management – provide meaningful analytics data by cleaning raw data, manipulating and summarising the data to provide the required output
- Using data to monitor and improve business processes – Data analysis and presentation
- Business intelligence and decision support concepts
- Trend analysis
- Monthly and campaign reports, ROI and CPN Analytics
- Respond to ad hoc data analysis requests from the business
- Segmentation development
- Pitch Proposal support
- Report KPI performance both internally and externally
Requirements
- Relevant Degree (including subjects such as mathematics, statistics or computer science).
- Minimum two years of experience in a similar role
- Analytical and critical thinker
- Experience in loyalty, CRM, direct marketing and consumer insights advantageous
- Strong mathematical skills
- Advanced Excel
- Knowledge of SQL would be an advantage
- Able to work independently
- Attention to detail
