One of South Africa’s fastest growing agencies is looking for a dedicated, and enthusiastic Mid-level Conceptual Art Director.

The successful candidate needs outstanding conceptual and design skills, with a proven track record of producing beautiful and unique design for a variety of formats. This is a full-time position based in Johannesburg working in a conceptual team with like-minded individuals

Key responsibilities

Design

• Create original graphics and layouts for digital/ATL/BTL and TTL campaigns and concepts
• Adhere to strict briefs and deadlines

Ideation and Collaboration

• Conceptualize and develop innovative ideas and executions with the creative concept team for pitches and projects.
• Generate clear and concise ideas that create talkability

Presentation

• Present articulate and completed ideas to clients and internal team members

Working within a team

• Work seamlessly and efficiently with team members and leads to foster a collaborative ‘ego-free’ working environment
• Ensure timely response to requests from team members on all deliverables.
• Manage your time and follow up on delegated deliverable

Essential Experience

• Exceptional design skill in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
• Proven experience as a Conceptual Art Director or similar role
• Verifiable degrees and diplomas

• Comprehensive knowledge and proven experience of the market and industry
• High standard of integrity, service excellence and a passion for the industry
• Maturity of temperament to relate to a wide range of clientele and internal staff
• High level of creativity, inspiration, innovation in your thinking
• “Can do” attitude to take ownership and pride in deliverables
• Ability to work within a budget
• Experience in preparing high quality decks for internal or external presentation
• Team player willing to adapt to a fast-paced environment and champion the Clockwork ethos
