The main purpose of the job is to develop and implement a social media strategy on all social media platforms in line with brand strategies. By doing so, you’ll engage social communities for the Group’s brands and oversee a rollout into African countries. The successful applicant will oversee content management across all digital channels, budget of social media channels and to optimise media strategy.

Key performance areas

1. Digital and social media public relations

  • Align digital public relations with all facets of the business (e.g. the content calendar)
  • Demonstrate competence and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the social media universe.
  • Align digital responses with social media engagement policy ensuring consistency.
  • Monitor and manage the online reputation management (ORM) tool and take corrective action, if applicable.
  • Monitor the company’s reputation and customers’ perceptions through e.g. participation in social media and creation of social communities.
  • Manage digital content strategy for publication on various social media platforms and internal channels according to brand content strategy.

2. Community building

  • Liaise and build relationships with external agencies and execute activity plans
  • Liaise with the internal brand team to align digital communication with brand strategy
  • Maintain active networks with key role-players
  • Work in conjunction with digital and PR teams to build an on-line communications strategy.

 3. Content management 

  • Oversee publication of content across various social media platforms and other digital channels according to brand content strategy.
  • Monitor current trends, approaches and challenges in the social media arena on a continuous basis.
  • Moderate all user generated content in-line with engagement guidelines.
  • Report trends analysis back to digital brand manager and social media team.
  • Maintain social media platforms and respond accordingly

4. People management

Requirements

Three year Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Public Relations.
Five years experience in total, with social media management, advertising, PR and online marketing
Three years experience at a management level in advertising, PR and online marketing
