An exciting career opportunity exists in a young, fast-growing Cape Town creative agency for a middleweight designer. Now Boarding are established brand communication and digital design specialists, working on well known South African and global brands. Designers are challenged with a large variety of disciplines from print to digital to TV, where the creative team have a passion for conceptual thinking and pixel perfect design.
Candidates should have a strong design background, with the following strengths:
- Handle pressure
- Interpret internal and client briefs
- Manage time and deadlines
- Prepared to go the extra mile
- Work collaboratively with key team members and developers
- Keep up to date with current and emerging design trends and technologies
- Attention to detail
- Experience in print and digital design
- Develop UI, UX architecture
- A good understanding of social media and web apps
- Working knowledge of web standards, HTML 5, Responsive Design
The candidate should be proficient in the following design disciplines:
- Conceptualise and art direct projects
- Logo identities
- Corporate branding
- Print design
- Packaging
- Web design
Qualifications and experience
- Matric essential
- Apple Mac proficient
- Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop are essential
- Experience in working Sketch beneficial
- Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or equivalent experience essential
- A minimum of two to five years agency experience
- Logo and web experience essential
- Must have a portfolio for presentation
