RETAILTRIBE:Junior Digital Content Editor OPPORTUNITY

Help RetailTribe customers generate increased online contact and engagement, and increased ‘real-world’ contact leading to increased sales.
Coordinate and manage the editing and publication of online ‘local content’, for up to 75 RetailTribe customers, to enhance their marketing proposition and professional reputation while creating engagement and sales leads.
Grow the brand reputation of RetailTribe through a professional and high-quality service (meeting publication and accuracy targets) to RetailTribe customers maintaining a minimum 80% NPS rating across all customers.
Scope of responsibility
Manage the ‘local content’ (content generated specifically by the retailer as opposed to RetailTribe authors) for up to 75 customers.
Manage the editing and publication of all the local content across allocated customer’s websites, e-mail newsletters, ad hoc e-mails, social broadcast messages and apps.
A content editor is responsible for the identification of required content, gathering of content, editing of the content and securing the approval of content for publication.
The content editor will manage the content local to a customer for presentation and publication in the customer’s web site, emails (newsletters and special emails) and social posts.
The content editor is responsible for the quality of content published as measured by proofing accuracy, grammatical correctness, support of key marketing messages, clarity of layout, presentation to influence the reader, the number of contacts created for the Professional, and the conformance to RetailTribe standards.
The content editor is not responsible for the definition of the marketing or sales objectives for the customer. The campaign manager will supply that information.
While the content editor should be aware of the sales objectives, responsibility for creating and/or supporting campaigns to drive sales, belongs to the campaign manager.
Validation the integrity of all ‘RetailTribe’ content being published in the customer’s online platforms and ensure timeous publication of all content.
Escalate to the relevant campaign manager challenges with customers who are failing to produce effective local content and develop solutions to improve the position.
Report any potential content problem to senior content editor immediately for escalation.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage the collection of ‘local’ content from customers, enabling you to follow the publication schedule.
- Manage ‘local’ content from customers to:
- Support the marketing proposition and objectives of the customer
- Ensure content is grammatically correct and fits corporate standards
- Ensure calls to action are clearly identified and added to content
- Manage the design of additional content required, including ‘ghost’ writing.
- Manage the content approval process to ensure publications schedules are met.
- Manage the publication of all ‘local’ content.
- Maintain ongoing content audit of all ‘local’ content, identifying gaps in the content, omissions and resolving those.
- Validate that all content being published is relevant to each customer individually.
- Manage and maintain weekly, monthly reports including:
- Supplier mentions reports on a weekly basis
- Weekly error rates report
- Weekly updates of customers’ marketing objectives.
- Any additional ad hoc reporting necessary to support the goals of the publications team.

Requirements
Expected to:
- Have and maintain knowledge of online systems and build on that knowledge as systems are upgraded and changed.
- Demonstrate skills/expertise in content publication.
- Maintain knowledge and skills of editing, formatting and proof reading of content.
- Maintain knowledge of set company standards in order to perform formatting and editing correctly and efficiently.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of campaign managers in order to offer support to campaign managers in the input and publication of content each week.
- Understand the marketing objectives and campaigns for each customer.
- Maintain knowledge of the RetailTribe marketing proposition and standards of process (es).
- Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company values.

- Be able to perform additional tasks assigned by publications manager to ensure highest productivity levels in weekly production and publication of content in any territory and across all publications mediums.

Requirements
- Effective command of English grammar and sentence construction with a minimum three years tertiary education in English.
- Good communication skills (speaking and listening, written and reading) and the ability to communicate professionally with customers.
- Interpersonal skills that allow mentorship, encouragement and improvement without conflict along with the ability to communicate
- Will be advantageous to have experience in online publications and knowledge of industry standards in terms of online publications.
- Comfort with key internet, PC and Microsoft technologies specifically web navigation, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Proven ability to achieve goals set by publications manager.
- Own Windows laptop loaded with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel along with a suitable security and anti-virus software package.
- Interest in, and knowledge of, sports (especially golf) and marketing would be an advantage.
