Tag 8 is looking for an experienced candidate to fulfill the role of Media Planner on a small portfolio of key clients.

Core responsibilities

  1. Account management:
  • Responsibility for delivery of media consultancy services to client/agency
  • Attend client/agency meetings
  • Maintain key stakeholder relationships (agencies/brands/media owners)
  1. Media strategy and planning
    • Drafting agreements with clients and agencies for media consultancy services
    • Developing detailed briefs with client/creative agency
    • Working with agency partners to develop media strategy and recommendations to client across both traditional and non-traditional channels based on brief.
    • Interpretation and understanding of media mix within strategy and presentation to client
    • Liaise with creative agencies to ensure channels best support creative execution
    • Accurately briefing planning team and assistance in developing a detailed media plan and schedules where required
    • Managing expectations of delivery and turnaround times
    • Interpreting client insights regarding media preferences
    • Researching and incorporating innovative channels
    • Interpretation and understanding of selection of specific channels within media plan v rationale behind selection based on target market insights and channel performance
    • Presentation v explanation of detailed media plan to client
    • Manage timely sign offs
    • Develop/assist planning team in developing a clear buying brief for buying agency
    • Accurate briefing to buying agency
    • Supply of final approved plans and accurate chase lists (provided by buying agency) to creative agency/PR agency including clear material specifications, material deadlines and added value requirements.
    • Keep creative agency/PR agency updated with any changes to plans
    • Monitor of expenditure vs budget
    • Monitor accurate flow of billing between buying agency/client
    • Manage commission sharing between client/agency
    • Revise plans as necessary according to changes from creative agency/client
    • Interpretation of campaign performance
    • Providing proof of flighting to client as campaign goes live
    • Interpretation and analysis of weekly reporting provided by digital buying agency on digital campaigns and generation of reports for client, provided in a timely fashion
    • Gathering campaign performance details once campaign has ended, interpretation and analysis thereof and generation of post campaign report
    • Presentation and explanation of post campaign reporting to client
    • Respond to ad hoc client queries and requests in a timely manner
    • Meet with media sales representatives to remain up to date with media developments and discuss best solutions for client
    • Manage calls from media sales representatives diverted from client to media agency
    • Remain up to date with industry regulations, legislation and best practice
    • Self-development through attendance of industry talks and seminars

Requirements

At least three to five years experience in an agency environment

·       Able to work methodically, accurately and neatly

·       Familiarity with industry norms and practices
·       Taking responsibility for yourself
