Job description
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Solid HTML 5/CSS 3 /li>
- Solid client-side JavaScript scripting (specifically with experience using jQuery)/li>
- Solid experience of responsive web design using frameworks such as Twitter Bootstrap/li>
- Experience using CSS pre-processors such as SASS/Compass
- Solid AJAX experience/li>
- PHP experience will be a huge benefit
- Experience writing semantic, modular frontend code/li>
- Experience writing reusable code (i.e. themes / templates, JavaScript library development)/li>
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues, progressive enhancement, mobile first development/li>
- Comfortable using a version control system, e.g. Git/li>
- Comfortable with browser debugging and testing, and performance profiling/li>
- Firm foundational understanding of SEO/SEM best practices
In addition, the ideal candidate:
- Must be willing to relocate to beautiful brand new creative offices situated in the green heart of Knysna (four hours drive/one hour flight up the coast from Cape Town)
- Be in the possession of a solid portfolio of work and references demonstrating the job requirements
Interest in MTB, SUP, hiking, camping, outdoors, nature, clean air and the absence of rush hour traffic is, of course, a bonus.
