Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Company requires an experienced Electrician with Tendering and Estimating experience. Only South African citizens, who are suitably qualified, live in the applicable area and meet the requirements of the position are eligible to apply for this vacancy.

The successful candidate will be required to finding potential tender opportunities in the market for the company.

Requirements:

• Must have Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
• 5 – 10 years working experience in the electrical field
• Minimum 3 year supervision or foreman experience
• Must be a qualified trade tested electrician
• Computer literacy essential, good skills Microsoft projects and Microsoft excel

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Liaise directly with Customers for quotations and orders on small and medium projects
• Manage and coordinate Electrical and Instrumentation activities of small project including work crew
• Check regularly the websites for tenders which are advertised and meet the company’s scope of supply
• Attend pre tender site meetings for technical and commercial clarification
• Communicate with the client or the clients agent where tactical and commercial clarification is required
• Communicate with the company engineers when technical or design information is required or needed. Obtain prices from suppliers for preparing tenders
• Calculation of labour prices for tender purposes
• Prepare commercial documentation and documentation to accomplish tenders for submission. Ensure tender compilation is correct and complete according to company standards and filed correctly Ensure delivery of completed tenders on date and within time
• Follow up of the tender outcome after submission
• Answer clarification enquiries should there be any questions from the submitted tender After successful award of tender, clarification to project managers and hand over to the relevant department for execution of the project
• Ensure Client and supplier contact details are updated on the company’s data base
