| Requirements | Proof of registration as Professional Nurse at SANC or Proof of registration as an Enrolled Nurse at SANC (must have ICU, Theatre or Trauna experience) Previous experience in a similar environment will be an advantage Knowledge of surgical and medical procedures Computer literacy and knowledge of internet and e’mail Coding experience will be an advantage Independent decision making skills Managed health care experience will serve as a recommendation Excellent interpersonal and communication skills |
| Key Outputs | Coding according to CPT4 and ICD10 coding system Cost evaluation and control of accounts Co-ordinating and facilitating managed healthcare of patients and medical aids Contract interpretation and implementation on hospital level (where applicable to case co-ordination) Liaison with medical aids with regards to authorization, length of stay and level of care Liaison regarding patients with other service providers including doctors Data analyzing and reporting when necessary Assessment of the patient and completion of relevant documentation |
