Marine Coordinator

The marine coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the network is executable and efficient by providing operational feedback and opportunities to Network Design.

Preferred seagoing experience

 

Duties

Ensure that the vessel masters are well informed of the game plan and that they know exactly what is expected from them

Ensure that the port call is properly planned and executed as per plan

The pro-formas are regularly reviewed and kept accurate. It is your responsibility to raise issues with senior marine planner or CENNTW and follow up until changes are effected

Negotiate optimal windows for our services with the ports

Ensure that the Safe port memos reflect the latest restrictions and are frequently challenged and updated

The use of root cause analysis to determine behavioural inefficiencies and implement improvements

Monitor re-delivery bunker quantities and ensure that we redeliver vessels with the same or less bunkers than on-hired with

Regular vessel visits in Cape Town or when traveling to other ports

Maintenance and updates of SAFE Port, GSIS, FPMS, COMS2

 

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience
