ZaPOP[PTY] LTD:CNC Operator Opportunity
ZaPOP is looking for an experienced CNC punching machine programmer and operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the set up and operation of the power press machine or press brake to bend, stretch, notch or straighten metal plates as specified by the job card, design, blue prints or layouts.
Key responsibility areas:
- Pull tooling and prepare setup of jobs by ensuring that the correct tool is used for each job.
- To ensure all components required for a specific job are accessible.
- CNC production planning for all jobs to avoid delays
- To ensure all components are bent correctly in order to make the final product as per deadlines.
- Supervise production to ensure machines operates effectively in a safe manner.
- To ensure each machine is evaluated daily, checked for any obstructions, ensuring the machines are always neat and clean.
- To ensure routine maintenance and lubrication of machines place as per schedules.
- To ensure all tools are kept in a good condition and stored neatly.
- To ensure all safety precautions, procedures and rules are adhered to at all times.
- To ensure your work station and production area is always neat and clean.
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
- Three years’ experience as a CNC Operator (bending and/or punching machines)
- One year experience as CNC programmer in a production environment
- Relevant CNC Programming Certificate
- Sound knowledge of steel products’ production process
