Key Purpose To Manage the storage, handling and bulk fuels distribution process at the terminal in a cost-effective, safe environment in support of Engen’s marketing objectives and optimisation of profit opportunities

*Receipt, storage, handling and distribution process complies with OHSE Act, Standing instructions. (Company standards and procedures and local by-laws)

*Exchange balances with OOC for receipts and accommodation arrangements managed
*Product quality maintained
*Sound relationships with local authorities
*Optimise transport efficiencies
Management of 3rd party contractual agreements & transport carriers.

*Quarterly industry meetings conducted timeously
*Accurate capture of minutes and distribution thereof and ensuring that action items are attended to by agreed deadlines.
General Administration
*Expense report with variance analysis submitted with meaningful explanations.
*Expenditure in line with agreed budget
*Timeous and effective reporting.
*Effective report analysis.
*Administration in accordance with policies and procedures
Transport Management
*Cost efficient, safe operating environment.
*Own fleet and drivers: performance managed.
*3rd party carriers compliance with Engen operating standards and procedures
Joint facility Host/Tenant (Certain Depots/Terminals)
*An approved maintenance plan in place and executed according to industry standards.
*Engineering audits indicate full compliance with agreed standards.
*Quarterly JFC meetings conducted timeously, accurate capture of minutes and distribution thereof and ensuring that action items are attended to by agreed deadlines
Asset Management
*Systems and equipment utilised according to design specifications
*Record of ongoing analysis of outputs.Identification and implementation of agreed opportunities
Business Controls
*Reconciled inventory balances
*Valid, accurate and complete inventory balances
*Completeness of Income
*Adherence to business controls and procedures
*Accurate and reconciled Fixed Asset Register

Education & Experience Transport and logistics Diploma / Degree
5 year Terminal Management experience
Inventory/Asset Management Experience
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of major company-operated bulk fuels operations.
Proven experience in managing a major bulk fuels installation.
Detailed knowledge of OHSE Act, labour legislation and everything referred to under the Range.
In depth knowledge of transport operations / management.
Working knowledge of contract management principles.
Basic knowledge of petro-chemical engineering design principles, components and equipment relating to depot operations.
In depth knowledge of costing principles, e.g. transport, planning and budget control.
An understanding of outbound logistics.
Knowledge of SAPR/3 system (SD, TD, MM, CO).
Knowledge of the petroleum industry
Working knowledge of inter-company supply and accommodation.
Good knowledge of disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Good understanding of depot cost drivers.
In depth knowledge of petroleum vehicle operating systems.
