Data Migration QA Analyst Opportunity

An international branding

services company requires a data migration QA Analyst to join their team. One to two years in technical testing; knowledge

of web applications testing, Microsoft and OSX operating systems, JavaScript or

other programming languages; Experience with Microsoft SQL Server; Understand

SDLC in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

The

position:

• As

  a data migration QA Analyst you will be part of building and maintaining of

  SaaS software.

 

• The

  ideal candidate will be super passionate about testing web based applications

  and producing high quality enterprise software.

 

• You

  need to thrive in a fast-paced environment and will work closely with talented,

  creative developers, product owners and other testers.

 

• You

  are expected to develop, implement and maintain both manual and automated test

  plans.

 

• These

  test scripts are to be documented and results kept in a test report.

 

• Follow

  the existing test procedures, guidelines, standards and processes.

 

• The

  candidate should be willing to learn and work on new technologies.

Principle

responsibilities:

• Write

  test scenarios/test cases for the migration stories or tickets.

 

• Should

  be able to do defect reporting and artefacts should be collected.

 

• Follow

  the existing test strategy, process, and best practices

 

• Create,

  update and maintain test data for positive and negative testing.

 

• Review

  the test cases/scenarios written by other members in the QA team

 

• Participate

  in the daily stand ups, planning and other product related meetings.

 

• Work

  closely with the team to maximize overall testing impact and effectiveness

 

• Understand

  SQL as to compare results either manually or by using a testing tool.

 

• Uses

  automation scripts to ensure that the front end reflects changes made.

Essential

skills and experience:

• 0

  – Five years in the IT Industry, one to two years in technical testing

 

• Knowledge

  of web applications testing.

 

• Knowledge

  of Microsoft and OSX operating systems

 

• Knowledge

  of JavaScript or other programming languages

 

• Self-starter

  with consistent follow-through

 

• Capable

  of leading resolution to defined problems of minimum complexity

 

• Comfortable

  and effective with team and business partner communications

 

• Ability

  to present minimally complex topics in an understandable manner

 

• Understand

  SDLC in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

 

• Selenium

  automation experience using Webdriver.

 

• Experience

  with automated testing tools

 

• Exposure

  to Fitnesse and Test or Behaviour Driven Development.

 

• Experience

  with Microsoft SQL Server.

Desirable

skills and experience:

• Experience

  working in an Agile environment on a Scrum team as a QA or business analyst

 

• Experience

  writing user stories, uses cases, system specifications, test plans and test

  scripts

 

• Education:

  Undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences, MIS or related analytical field

 

• API

  testing experience using jMeter.

 

• Experience

  with test driven development

 

• Experience

  testing with Amazon Web Services

 

• Able

  to write queries, understand basic database architecture; can incorporate data

  validation and data mining into test activities

 

• Good

  communication skills.
