34: Business Unit Director Opportunity

Job description

Thirtyfour is looking for a skilled and savvy business unit director (BUD) or heavy-weight group account director (GAD), with a passion for through-the-line communications and delivering strategically led creative, to join our team. The BUD/GAD will report into the deputy MD (DMD) across multiple accounts.

Client and team leadership

  • Lead, manage and develop all client relationships in a way that integrates creative and strategy, whilst building internal relationships.
  • Lead, develop, direct and manage your team to ensure you are developing a motivated, skilled and happy team.
  • Create structures for knowledge sharing, teaching, training and support within your business unit.
  • Lead your team and client creatively and strategically to drive the 34 business vision, constantly striving for high standards of work which exceed expectations.
  • Provide human resource planning and guidance for resourcing of the team.
  • Mentoring and providing team members with opportunities to learn.
  • Work closely and provide support to the DMD.

Commercial intuition

  • Constantly driving towards identified new business opportunities.
  • Delivering commercial return through the management of in-and-out of scope activity and savvy negotiation.
  • Management of the team cost-structure and delivering on quarterly business targets.
  • Third party management accountability for the full delivery of campaigns.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in either Marketing or Advertising Account Management.
  • Minimum six years of agency work experience, with experience in TTL and/or shopper marketing.
  • Commercially driven with proven expertise across TTL disciplines, client and thought leadership and team leadership.
