Description
Marine Dynamics is an award-winning responsible tourism company, based in Gansbaai. We are Fair Trade Tourism certified and conduct shark cage diving and whale watching tours. We do research and conservation work on marine species.
We are looking for a strong sales person. Ideal for a mature responsible candidate who is target driven and excellent at building relationships within the tourism sector.
Duties include: The securing and growth of business; managing database; calling on guest houses/hotels in Gansbaai/Hermanus; dealing with travel agents, journalists, film crew and VIP guests; social media; working closely with and supporting the reservation team; handling advertising requests; attending shows-national and possibly international; articles for newspapers; events; radio and television interviews, and other duties assigned. Reporting directly to the CEO.
Requirements
Candidate must be self-driven; versatile; a strong team player; well spoken; have good presentation skills; excellent command of English (and Afrikaans); a good understanding of branding and social media; photographic skills.
Must live in Gansbaai or within 20km.
