Electrical Foreman Opportunity

Job description
My client is seeking the service of a FMCG experienced electrical Foreman. This person will report to the factory manager.
The key responsibilities are:
- Supervising and control staff and independent contractors;
- Coordination and supervising of all activities in the electrical department;
- Comply with statutory requirements and company policies and procedures;
- Maintenance of assets, machinery and equipment;
- General factory maintenance to ensure 100% availability to comply with legislation;
- Conduct and supervisor new electrical installations;
- Ensure effective problem-solving;
- Facilitate administrative tasks (e.g. to obtain quotes);
Qualifications and experience:
- Qualified electrician with a recognised trade test with post qualification experience;
- Five to ten years appropriate experience, three of which in a supervisory capacity;
- Essential experience in FMCG Production and Factory maintenance including control systems;
- Voltage reticulation system exposure
- A.C and D.C drives/motors;
- Knowledge on Pneumatic systems;
- Person needs to be fit for working at heights;
- Valid Wireman’s licence will be an advantage;
- Experience in low and medium Voltage installations will be an advantage;
- PLC experience will be an advantage;
- The ability to work under pressure in a production environment;
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime and weekends as per operational requirements;
- Own transport and a valid driver’s license.
