Job description

The media telesales associate plays an integral role in growing PEAR’s business. The successful candidate is responsible for lead generation, cold calling, quoting, new business meetings and training, tender briefings and submissions, research, and administrative duties as well as basic account management.  

  • Marketing and sales of PEAR’s products and services to both new and existing clients
  • The set-out and achievement of targets and budgets between you and the Senior Management Team (SMT)
  • Providing a weekly projected activity plan at the beginning of the week and feedback regarding activities at the end of the week to SMT
  • Adjust content of sales presentations and proposals custom to the client or industry approaching
  • Provide feedback on industry and the competitive environment when relevant, including product news, marketplace pricing information, and competitor news
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge, as well as relationships, by attending internal and external training sessions and workshops, reviewing internal and external publications and documents relevant to role, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Use PEAR internal systems, policies, and processes to maintain ethics, professionalism, and transparency at all times
  • The completion of tenders or quotations in conjunction with the SMT
  • Represent PEAR at tender briefings
  • Any other duties within reason given to you from time to time by PEAR’s SMT

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or higher
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a quick learner
  • Strong interpersonal, media, marketing, strategic thinking skills, and professional demeanour
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent language skills (both written and oral), a second language is beneficial
  • Experience working with MS Office
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects and able to work independently
  • Ability to assist with all aspects of the company as needed
