Job description

Our client is currently looking for a technical author. The successful candidate will gather and document key development outputs, which enhance the  product.Duties:

• Gather and document key development outputs, which enhance the product
• Work with a wide range of internal stakeholders
• Report feedback in a pro-active manner to all stakeholders, managers, directors and colleagues
• Work with the product team, the development team and the QA team to ensure all software enhancements are documented in a timely manner
• Become a subject matter expert on key modules of the application
• Provide the implementation teams with clear and concise information on all software functionality
• Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the appropriate client facing teams
• Have a strong awareness of all new product features
• Ensure all new software enhancements are clearly communicated/documented to the training and implementations teams
• Ensuring the adherence to all quality and health and safety policies, practices and procedures

Requirements

Desirable skills and experience:

• IT related diploma or degree relating to software development
• Experience of testing content management systems and automation tools
• Proven experience with Selenium Web-Driver using Java with a minimum of two years’ experience
• Automated performance testing.
• API driven testing.
• Knowledge of SQL Server
• Experience testing on windows(ASP.Net, .Net, SQL) , GUI applications, web services and/or web applications (back-end and front-end) .
• Proven understanding of white box, grey box and black box testing techniques
• Excellent understanding of software design techniques
• Solid understanding of object oriented programming, design and debugging skills.
• Exposure to FitNesse and Test or Behaviour Driven Development.
• Experience of source control systems and configuration management.
• Experience programming at least one object oriented language preferably Java.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies preferable.

Advantageous

• API testing experience using JMeter will give an advantage.
• ITSTQB certification would be an advantage
