Astute Media, Social Media Designer/Brand Manager

Exciting opportunity to join our growing boutique agency! Astute Media is hiring experienced Social Media Designers and Copywriters, as well as interns, that can grow with us.

You will have the opportunity to work with several US, UK, and South African-based brands. Cape Town-based applicants are preferred, but select remote opportunities may exist for the right candidate(s).

Candidates should have 2+ years of experience with graphic design, videography, copywriting and/or brand management. Successful candidates will possess many of the skills and attributes listed below:

• Authentic passion for digital advertising and marketing
• Experience and interest in working with national or global brands
• Comprehensive understanding of social media channels and industry trends
• Ability to develop and pitch brand strategies and social media campaigns
• Ability to translate strategic briefs into conceptual creative solutions for social media platforms
• Ability to prioritise and manage several projects with timely deadlines
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work proactively, independently and as part of a team

Specific qualifications:

• Prior professional experience as a designer or art director (preferably at an advertising/digital agency, or in-house digital department)
• Experience creating original content and design templates for digital media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
• Must have a portfolio of work representing a variety of digital projects with a focus on illustrative, graphic and video design
• Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Bachelor’s degree in design/marketing is a plus
• Experience with copywriting would be a plus

Role and title will be commensurate with experience level.
