Job description
Spier Arts Trust administers the global Nando’s art collection and its associated artist career development programmess.
The marketing and content coordinator is responsible for maintaining and growing the art-related online presence of Spier Arts Trust and Nando’s Creativity, following existing brand guidelines. This role will strategize, facilitate and execute all creativity-related social media and digital communication plans. It involves social media management, content creation, media relations and administration to drive public awareness of Nando’s Creativity and Spier Arts Trust.
Areas of delivery:
Social Media Management
- Develop a content strategy and editorial calendar that is aligned with marketing targets
- Manage social media channels and communities (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Grow positive audience engagement on social media channels and digital platforms
- Execute content distribution and social media campaigns, including relevant daily updates for all current events, programmes and exhibitions
- Ensure compliance with local legislation (copyright and personal data protection)
Content creation
- Collaborate with Enterprise Services and Marketing teams to develop content plans
- Liaise with design and copy teams to instruct creative content creation
- Produce and curate short-format social media content (images and text) according to brand guidelines
- Create and publish engaging content that delivers on existing brand strategy
- Attend all Spier Arts Trust and Nando’s Creativity events (combined or separate), to conduct relevant interviews, take pictures and record video for digital content distribution
- Stay up-to-date with social media and digital communication trends and developments
- Generate new ideas to draw and keep audience attention
- Make recommendations to target Millennials and Gen Z
- Positively interact with other digital creators, creatives and creative influencers to proactively build target audiences
Media relations
- Build relationships with internal and external PR and media contacts
- Share press releases in a timely fashion to garner maximum exposure
- Host media at creativity events and activations
Administration
- Manage, record and label content in the respective organisational Media Libraries
- Manage and communicate the collective and individual organisational event calendars
- Drafts and issue minutes after weekly marketing status meeting
- Develop, update and manage respective newsletter databases
- Produce post-campaign reports and metrics that include results, insights and recommendations
- Support the Nando’s marketing manager with specified administrative tasks
- Approve and process and related financial documents and track supplier payments
- Monitor social media budgets
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in marketing and communications or equivalent
- Proven experience in digital and social media marketing
- Proven project management skills
- Proven brand reputation management skills
- Good understanding of media operations
- Excellent computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills – English written and verbal
- High attention to detail
- Deadline oriented
- Proven interest in art, design, music and fashion
