Job Overview And Responsibilities
• Deliver exceptional customer service and exceed customer expectations through effective selling techniques
• Build positive relationships with customers and provide professional product advice
• Identify sales opportunities and maximise store turnover through proactive selling
• Consistently achieve individual sales targets and performance goals
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
• Ensure store housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
• Create an inspiring and enjoyable shopping environment for customers
• Process customer purchases accurately using cash, cards, vouchers and other approved payment methods
• Verify and process all transactions according to company procedures
• Ensure all outgoing merchandise is scanned and paid for correctly
• Process loyalty card transactions and customer rewards programmes
• Assist customers with product enquiries and stock-related questions
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
• Report customer compliments and complaints to management
• Support stock loss prevention measures and follow store security procedures
• Contribute to a positive team culture and store success
Requirements And Skills
• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Up to six months of retail experience
• One year of retail experience will be advantageous
• Strong customer service and sales skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• Knowledge of current fashion, clothing and lifestyle trends will be beneficial
• Honest and trustworthy when handling cash and store assets
• Strong relationship-building abilities
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to adapt to changing retail demands and customer needs
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Basic Microsoft Office and computer skills advantageous
• Clear credit and criminal record
• South African citizenship required
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
