Mid Database Developer Opportunity

An international branding
services company requires a mid database developer with five+ years’ software
development and three+ years’ MS SQL Server side development experience; SSIS,
SSRS, SSMS, T-SQL, Data modelling experience.

The position:

• Participate in defining technical solutions and
  code architectures.
• Responsible for development and delivery of
  production-ready code.

• Working in a fast
  paced organization using Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver excellent solutions
  for their demanding customer service and operations requirements.

Principle responsibilities:

• Delivery of projects on your own and in
  multi-person teams
• Maintaining a high level of productivity and code
  quality
• To work as part of a team without close supervision
• Working with Senior or Project Lead to deliver
  successful projects
• Review code of other developers to insure optimal
  code structure and adherence to company coding standards
• Help with the design and build of database schema
• Develop new SSIS/SSRS packages to meet business
  needs
• Create and maintain documentation for all projects

Required skills and experience:

• Five+ years software development experience
• Three+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  2000/2005/2008/2008r2/2012/2014 server side development including (SSIS, SSRS,
  SSMS)
• Good knowledge of T-SQL (Transact SQL) Stored
  Procedures, Functions and Triggers
• Knowledge of performance tuning
• Understanding of design patterns and OO programming
• Experience of large-team development in integrated
  environments (e.g. Redgate, Visual Studio) using managed source control systems
  (e.g. Subversion)
• Data modelling experience

Desirable skills and experience:

• C# experience (Writing CLRs)
• Agile/Scrum
• Writing TSQL unit tests
• JIRA/Confluence
• Crystal Reports
• NoSQL
• Experience with SQL Server Replication and Service
  Broker
• Experience with SOLR or Elastic Search
• SSDT
