Marketing Executive Opportunity

Cerebra is an integrated strategic communications agency based in Design Quarter, Johannesburg. Our main focus is building, engaging and activating communities around some really awesome and prolific corporate and consumer brands through the fast paced, ever-changing and interactive world of social media.

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Executive to assist with brand building and sales lead generation.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations;
- Writing and proofreading copy;
- Maintaining and updating customer databases;
- Organising and attending events such as conferences, product launches, seminars, receptions and exhibitions;
- Liaising with media and influencers to promote Cerebra activities;
- Listening to customer requirements and presenting notes to the sales director;
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails;
- Follow up on potential leads;
- Arrangement and attendance at sales meetings;
- Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries;
- Gathering market and customer information;
- Creating detailed proposal, RFQ or tender documentation;
- Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements and translating those to the rest of the business;
- Conducting internal marketing initiatives to drive the sales agenda among Cerebra staff.
Requirements
- Strong written and communication skills, multiple languages a bonus.
- Branding background / experience or qualification.
- CRM and database management experience.
- Event management and coordination experience.
- Direct marketing coordination experience.
- Sales administration and lead generation experience.
Advantageous
- Experience working in an agency environment.
- Design skills a bonus.
- Social Media skills and or experience.
- Sales administration track record.
