The Racket club is on the hunt for a conceptual art director to join our in-office team in Cape Town – A big ideas person who can tie a golden thread through from ideation to execution. You need to have a proven track record (and portfolio to back this) in creating disruptive work that lives across live and digital channels.

We take pride in making noise, crossing lines and creating purpose-driven work with people who are passionate about cultural impact.

You’ll be spearheading creative pitches, campaign conceptualisation, content execution and more for some truly awesome brands.

We’re a social team that likes to bounce ideas, graft hard, and go above and beyond, while still making sure every day brings good beats and even better energy.

We don’t take ourselves too seriously – just the work we do.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in art/design is a must
• Strong portfolio of amazing creative work in digital, BTL and disruptive marketing spaces
• 3-5 years advertising agency experience with proven experience developing integrated campaigns
• Strong conceptual abilities – This is much more than an art director role, you need to be a strong conceptual thinker with the ability to assist and at times lead the creative & ideation process in coming up with big ideas for campaigns for our clients!!
• Art direction/design skills
• Good communication skills: both written and verbal
• Great attention to detail
