CONVEYANCER ATTORNEY Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join a reputable law firm in their Conveyancing Department as a Conveyancer in the Real Estate team based in Sandton.

The successful candidate must be able to perform the following (but not limited to) services:

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Perusing and checking of bank documents and guarantees;
Consulting with clients (mortgagors, sellers and purchasers) in respect of conveyancing transactions;
Discussing and explaining Loan Agreements and other bank documents relevant to transfer of immovable property and registration of mortgage bonds;
Signing of bank loan documents and conveyancing documents;
Examining conveyancing documents and preparation thereof as conveyancer, for lodgements in relevant Deeds office;
Providing lateral support in relation to sectional title and freehold developers;
Resolving queries at SARS and City Councils in high profile matters;
Assisting in providing property legal opinions which do not require the input of directors from a specialist point of view;
Providing support to paralegals and conveyancers with day to day routine conveyancing functions during the absence of conveyancers and during periods of work pressure.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

LLB Degree;
Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer;
Experience as Notary Public would be an advantage;
Demonstrated experience within a law firm;
3-5 Real Estate years progressive experience in the legal industry;
Excellent command of the English language with effective drafting skills;
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills;
Ability to provide innovative solutions to clients’ business and strategic needs.
