This full-time position offers a monthly salary of R15,000 to R18,000 and is ideal for candidates looking to advance their finance careers in the logistics sector.

A Critical Role in the Finance Team
As a Junior Credit Controller, the successful candidate will take on the responsibility of managing the company’s debtor book, ensuring payments are collected on time, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. The role calls for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong grasp of credit control processes, particularly within the logistics or transport industry.
Key Duties Include:
- Managing a portfolio of B2B customer accounts
- Collecting outstanding invoices and ensuring timely payments
- Monitoring credit limits and enforcing payment terms
- Resolving customer queries and account disputes
- Following up regularly through calls, emails, and account statements
- Reconciling accounts and accurately allocating payments
- Preparing and sending monthly client statements
- Flagging high-risk accounts to management
- Generating age analysis reports and updating on delinquent accounts
- Collaborating with departments like Sales, Billing, and Operations
- Recommending legal action for severely overdue accounts
- Assisting in reviewing and setting customer credit limits
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
- Finance-related certificate or diploma – Advantageous
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a credit control or debtors role
- Prior experience in a logistics or transport environment is highly advantageous
- Proven track record of managing high volumes of accounts and invoices
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)
- Familiarity with accounting platforms such as Pastel, Syspro, Sage, or ERP systems
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Effective negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management and the ability to thrive under pressure

Working Hours:
