If you’re a recent graduate looking to build a solid foundation in digital systems and business process automation, this is your opportunity. Applications are now open for a Business Applications Internship within the Performance Monitoring Unit—a role designed to give you hands-on experience in data systems, dashboard management, and ICT-based knowledge tools.
This is a 12-month contract position offering a monthly stipend of R7,450.62. It’s ideally suited for graduates with a technical background who are eager to contribute to meaningful work within a public-sector performance environment.
As an intern, you’ll be part of a team focused on improving systems that monitor performance and manage institutional knowledge. You’ll gain experience in developing digital tools, maintaining key applications, and building interactive data dashboards.
This opportunity offers more than just practical experience—it delivers exposure to real-world applications of systems thinking, IT governance, and digital infrastructure, especially within the public sector. Interns will be encouraged to think critically, collaborate effectively, and apply their knowledge to support and improve digital platforms.
Key Learning Areas
- Automation of business processes and development of digital tools
- Enhancement and maintenance of performance monitoring applications

Developmental Outcomes
- Hands-on experience with tools like Microsoft Power BI, Excel VBA, and open-source dashboard tools

Qualification Requirement
Applicants must have a minimum NQF Level 7 qualification in one of the following fields:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Engineering
