About the Role
As a Point-of-Sale (POS) Consultant, you will play a key part in creating a seamless checkout experience for customers while representing a modern and forward-thinking cosmetics brand. This role is perfect for individuals who are tech-savvy, customer-focused, and ready to bring energy and professionalism to the sales floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and guide them through their purchase journey
- Accurately process transactions using the POS system (cash, card, and vouchers)
- Handle refunds, returns, and exchanges in line with company policy
- Maintain a neat and organized till area
- Perform daily till balancing and adhere to cash-up procedures
- Alert management to any POS errors or payment discrepancies
- Step in to assist with floor duties and stock replenishment as needed
- Inform customers about ongoing promotions and store policies
- Deliver service that aligns with ARC’s high standards and values
- Comply with store health, safety, and operational protocols
Ideal Candidate Profile
To thrive in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate (compulsory)
- Experience in a POS or retail cashier role is advantageous
- Basic proficiency in mathematics and computer systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask under pressure during peak trading times
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in handling transactions
- Punctual, dependable, and honest
- Flexible to work weekends, public holidays, and various shifts
