Afrimat Lyttelton (Pty) Ltd, a leading company in the mining and materials sector, is inviting applications for a People Management Intern based at its Centurion operations. This opportunity is ideal for recent Human Resource Management graduates looking to gain valuable industry experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must hold a qualification or degree in Human Resource Management, which is essential for this role. A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transport are also required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a sound knowledge of the Human Resources cycle.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. The ideal candidate will be analytical, action-oriented, a resourceful organiser, and possess strong administrative skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The selected intern will assist the People Management Department with a variety of tasks and projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Working independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Meeting deadlines in a performance-driven environment
  • Taking initiative and adding value to business processes
  • Solving problems and effectively prioritizing tasks
  • Assisting with employee relations activities
  • Compiling and analysing people management data
  • Supporting people management reporting functions
  • Managing general administrative duties
