About the Role
As a Waiter or Shop Assistant, you’ll be the face of Anna’s Kitchen—welcoming guests, offering excellent service, and ensuring every customer leaves satisfied. The role requires someone who can multitask, stay on their feet during busy shifts, and maintain a positive attitude throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests with warmth, eye contact, and a friendly attitude
- Take food and drink orders with confidence and upsell menu items
- Deliver orders promptly and accurately
- Process payments and manage customer tabs
- Keep the dining and retail areas clean, tidy, and organized
- Handle customer complaints with professionalism and tact
- Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety protocols
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (National Senior Certificate)
- Own transport is required
- Must be willing to travel occasionally within the local area
- Previous experience in hospitality or retail is an added advantage
Essential Skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
- Basic math for processing payments and handling orders
- Physically fit to manage long shifts and carry trays
- Attention to detail, time management, and adaptability
- Ability to upsell and promote menu or retail items
