Role Overview: Warehouse Assistant
As a Warehouse Assistant, your primary responsibility will be supporting daily workshop operations. You’ll be involved in stock handling, processing, and assisting technicians to ensure smooth workflow and optimal stock control.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Picking, packing, and checking stock accurately
- Processing and picking spare parts for workshop repairs
- Maintaining spares inventory, including bin allocation and job card assignment
- Assisting the admin supervisor with stock reports and physical stock counts
- Issuing parts to technicians when available
- Keeping the workshop clean and organised
- Cleaning and wrapping outgoing repairs carefully
- Assisting with quality control (QC) procedures
- Occasionally supporting deliveries, collections, and errands
- Photographing incoming and outgoing repairs
Requirements and Skills
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Valid Driver’s License
- Technical knowledge is an advantage but not essential
- Basic computer literacy beneficial
- Strong teamwork and communication skills (written and spoken)
- Excellent command of the English language
- Attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Reliable and able to manage time effectively
