Position Overview

The handyman will be a key part of the Investor Services Division within the SA Corporate Portfolio. This role involves ensuring the general upkeep and safety of the shopping centre’s infrastructure, from routine maintenance to emergency repairs. You’ll play an essential part in keeping the property functional, secure, and tenant-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily duties will include:

• Inspecting buildings to identify maintenance needs and hazards
• Performing general repairs and installations across the premises
• Replacing and maintaining lighting in restrooms, hallways, and outdoor areas
• Ensuring plumbing fixtures, air-conditioning, pumps, tanks, and electrical systems are in working order
• Supporting emergency procedures and checking fire safety equipment
• Assisting tenants during move-ins and performing quality control checks on installations
• Recording and reporting all maintenance activities and issues to the building supervisor
• Upholding safety and legal compliance by following OSH regulations
