Pick n Pay is hiring a full-time Blockman at their Woodmead Hyper in Gauteng. The deadline to apply is August 8, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate all butchery equipment, including bandsaws
• Break and prepare meat carcasses to standard
• De-bone, mince, and produce sausages and boerewors
• Maintain the cold chain and monitor temperatures
• Receive deliveries and report equipment defects
• Reduce waste, shrinkage, and damages
• Merchandise and promote stock
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness
• Serve customers professionally
• Train staff on new products
• Follow all food safety and OHS Act standards

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 10 (Grade 12 preferred)
• Able to lift carcasses and work in cold environments
• Skilled in meat cutting and product preparation
• Good communication and listening skills
• Passion for meat products and strong work ethic
• Lives near Woodmead
• Willing to take a numeracy screening test
