Driver Assistant Position at Meridian Wine Distribution, Sandton

Managed People Solutions is hiring a Driver Assistant to join the Meridian Wine Distribution team in Sandton, Gauteng. This permanent position offers the chance to work in a respected liquor distribution environment, supporting efficient and timely product deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrive on time to maintain delivery schedule deadlines.
• Complete daily handover of deliveries from the warehouse to the vehicle.
• Pack deliveries accurately to prevent product damage.
• Ensure you have your tablet and all completed delivery paperwork before departure.
• Perform stock deliveries and collections as per schedule or supervisor instructions.
• Deliver orders to customers on time and in full.
• Maintain positive interactions with customers to promote repeat business.
• Collect and record defective or uplifted wine as per instructions.
• Clean the vehicle interior daily and check its general condition.
• Report accidents or incidents immediately to the Driver Supervisor or Manager, following SOP.
• Adhere to the dress code and maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate.
• Code 10 or Code 14 license is beneficial.
