Adidas is seeking a permanent part-timer for its Gateway store in Durban. The role focuses on supporting store operations, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Job Purpose
The position assists management with daily store maintenance while providing a seamless shopping experience. You will be responsible for supporting sales, maintaining displays, and helping with stock management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver the highest level of service to each customer
- Complete sales transactions using cash, credit, or checks
- Assist with ticketing and verifying incoming stock
- Support product flow from stockroom to sales floor
- Help develop merchandise displays following management guidance
- Learn and maintain proficiency with the point-of-sale system
- Use selling techniques, including upselling and explaining product features
- Greet customers and assist them in selecting products
- Occasionally serve as a front-door Greeter during peak periods
- Maintain store cleanliness and housekeeping standards
- Ensure the safekeeping of company assets
Required Skills and Experience
- Passion for retail and customer service
- Initiative and proactive approach to tasks
- Clear and positive communication skills
- Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Previous fashion retail experience is an advantage but not required
