Sales Administration Assistant Position at Sea Harvest, Cape Town

Sea Harvest is hiring a permanent Sales Administration Assistant to join its Sales and Marketing Department in Cape Town, Western Cape. The vacancy was posted on 02 September 2025 and will close on 12 September 2025. This role supports the National Customer Manager for Local Retail and provides data and administrative assistance to optimise profitability.

Job Purpose

The Sales Administration Assistant will coordinate all local retail orders nationally and ensure accurate pricing. The role requires strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills to support both the Customer Manager and the retail sales team.

Key Performance Areas

Data Collection and Processing

  • Consolidate stock on hand.
  • Generate monthly review reports.
  • Collect data from various retailers, including Shoprite BTB, Spar Insights, and PnP Portal.
  • Complete departmental reports within required deadlines.
  • Manage Vector orders for Sea Harvest.

Pricing

  • Manage deal sheets and price checks for PnP National.
  • Submit pricing on PnP Portal and summarise deals for all regions.
  • Check prices for EDI orders and PnP Portal.
  • Submit pricing to Vector.

Administration

  • Compile, check, and resolve discrepancies in claim-back data.
  • Record all ad hoc sales and promotional expenditure.
  • Consolidate data for price surveys and advertising.
  • Assist in preparing for sales and retail review meetings.
  • Liaise with the National Customer Manager and stakeholders to ensure readiness.

Secretarial Support

  • Draft and distribute price increase letters and other retailer communications.
  • Capture pricing updates accurately and submit them to relevant platforms such as Vector.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure alignment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • BCom or B-Tech degree in Finance, Management, or IT is preferable but not essential.
  • Prior administrative or sales support experience in FMCG is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
