Job Overview

As a Production Assistant, you will be responsible for manufacturing, preparing, and packaging products while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene. The role requires precision, teamwork, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture, prepare, and wrap products in line with company standards and production targets.
  • Price random weight and loose items correctly, ensuring accurate labeling.
  • Carry out regular quality checks, rotate stock, and remove expired or damaged items.
  • Maintain cold chain standards and monitor storage temperatures.
  • Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and unnecessary damages.
  • Adhere to hygiene, housekeeping, and safety regulations at all times.
  • Operate and clean equipment according to company procedures.
  • Assist and advise customers courteously and professionally.
  • Process customer orders in line with Pick n Pay service standards.
  • Promote and recommend products to customers.
  • Manufacture meat products such as sausage and mince.
