Allocator Opportunity at Truworths Distribution Department in Cape Town

Truworths is seeking a dedicated Allocator to join its Distribution Department at the head office in Cape Town. This permanent, on-site role is critical in ensuring that merchandise flows efficiently from the Truworths Distribution Centre (TDC) to stores across the continent.
Job Description
The Allocator acts as a key link between the TDC and the Merchandise Departments at Head Office. You will manage the allocation of individual merchandise orders, creating instructions for how stock should be distributed. The role is primarily administrative but essential for supporting sales and store operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Distribute stock to stores according to allocations
• Manage and track a sample portfolio
• Assign duty codes to individual styles
• Compile weekly reports and respond to merchandise team feedback
• Liaise with TDC staff to resolve queries
• Handle interbranch samples
• Act as back-up for other departmental areas when required
Qualifications & Experience
• Matric with strong numerical and analytical skills
• Understanding of MFP, RMS Viewer, Size Curves, JDA, and BDM systems
• Administration experience in retail or logistics advantageous
