Clicks Group is seeking a Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant for its Bedford Centre location in Bedfordview. This permanent role focuses on delivering pharmaceutical care, managing dispensary operations, and ensuring high standards of customer service. The position is open until 24 November 2025 and offers market-related remuneration.
Role Overview
The pharmacist assistant provides pharmaceutical care services within the scope of practice while performing day-to-day dispensary administration according to Clicks’ Standard Operating Plans (SOPs). The role supports both customers and the pharmacy team, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of customer service and pharmaceutical care
- Manage stock control and dispensary administration efficiently, including repacking medicine
- Perform accurate compounding and preparation of medicines
- Provide general health advice to customers
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and merchandise display
- Assist with ad hoc operational requirements as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate with Maths (essential)
- Registration requirements set by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) for Qualified, Post Basic, or Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistants
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of health isle and OTC products
- Understanding of SAPC regulations and legal requirements
