Role Purpose and Overview

The Health Merchandiser ensures that Dis-Chem’s merchandising standards are maintained consistently. The role involves restocking, managing inventory, maintaining product displays, and delivering excellent customer service. This position is critical for ensuring product availability, visual appeal of displays, and an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Restock merchandise according to business requirements.
• Ensure all delivered stock is stored and packed correctly.
• Maintain a full range of products on shelves at all times.
• Rotate stock regularly on a First In First Out (FIFO) basis.
• Assist with general stocktaking and back shopping.
• Maintain neat, visible, and correctly labelled product displays.
• Build, face up, stock, and maintain merchandising displays.
• Ensure daily upkeep of the store and designated stock areas.
• Respond to and resolve customer stock queries.

• Basic merchandising standards and retail procedures.

• Use of MS Office for stock and reporting tasks.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or degree within a health-related field.
• At least 1 year of retail experience.
• Bilingual communication skills.
• Knowledge of merchandising standards, FMCG industry, and product categories.
• Ability to analyse ZMORE reports for ordering and stock management.
• Familiarity with SAP and Unisolv systems.
