VISUAL FUSION:Logistics Controller OPPORTUNITY
- Actively manage the import/export of shipments from China across Africa (door-to-door). This includes the management of all shipping bookings and scheduling, the completion of all relevant customs- and import/cross-trade documentation.
- Management and control of the business supply chain in line with corporate requirements.
- Apply strict financial controls on each logistics related project that includes budget management, invoicing, import auditing and cash flow forecasts and estimates.
- Actively support Sales by providing accurate quotations and shipping lead times, for local and international shipments, based on the best logistics solution pertaining to the particular project.
- Ensure that all shipments comply with the required import/export regulations (incl. incoterms).
- Accurately report and track all stock from origin to destination, including warehoused stock.
- Continuously evaluate the performance of the preferred logistics service providers against cost, quality and delivery requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric with a relevant tertiary logistics qualification
Experience
- Minimum five year experience in supply chain and logistics
- Two to three years in a project driven business
- Expertise in import/export and logistics, including a strong understanding of incoterms.
- Experience in exporting goods into Africa will be advantageous
- Experience in project management will be advantageous.
Relevant experience in the point-of-sale or similar industries (e.g. furniture) will be highly advantageous.
