Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is currently recruiting a Store Driver for The Local Choice Pharmacy located in De Wiekus, Kempton Park. Role Overview
The Store Driver is responsible for transporting products safely to customers, maintaining delivery accuracy, and upholding the operational standards of The Local Choice Corporate Stores. This role requires attention to detail, accountability, and strong customer service skills. Candidates must be able to manage deliveries efficiently while ensuring compliance with safety and company regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or Matric certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Good communication skills in English
- Physically fit with good eyesight
- Clear criminal and credit record
- South African citizen or valid work permit
- Reliable transport
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver products to customers safely, accurately, and on time
- Ensure correct items are delivered to the correct customer
- Prioritize and manage fridge line deliveries using cooler boxes and cold packs
- Use efficient delivery routes and return to the store promptly after each trip
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including invoices and log sheets
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is signed and discrepancies reported
- Handle payments through EFT and cash, ensuring accuracy
- Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle, including cleanliness and safety checks
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents immediately
- Follow all road traffic laws and company vehicle policies
- Safeguard stock during transportation and prevent damage or loss
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and provide courteous service
- Report customer feedback, complaints, and requests to management
