About the Pharmacist Assistant Role
This position supports the dispensary team in delivering safe and effective pharmaceutical services. You assist with medicine preparation, stock control, customer service, and administrative duties.
You also play a key role in ensuring patients receive correct medication and proper guidance on usage. The role combines technical pharmacy work with customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for daily pharmacy operations and patient support.
Pharmaceutical Care Support
- Assist with providing pharmaceutical care within scope of practice
- Support safe dispensing of medication
- Provide general health advice to customers
Dispensary Administration
- Perform daily dispensary administrative tasks
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Support workflow efficiency in the pharmacy
Stock Control and Management

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this Pharmacist Assistant (QPB) role at Clicks Bayswater, you need:
Education
- Matric with Mathematics (essential)
- Qualification as Pharmacist Assistant (QPB level as per SAPC requirements)
Registration
- Registered or eligible for registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
