Job Overview
The Assistant CNC Operator supports daily CNC Rover A machine operations in a fast paced manufacturing environment. You will work under supervision to load materials, assist with machine setup, and monitor production processes. The role includes following production schedules, ensuring correct handling of materials, and supporting quality control checks on finished components. You will also help maintain a safe and organised workspace while learning essential CNC operation skills. This position offers hands on exposure to advanced manufacturing systems and technical production processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist CNC Operator with daily production activities
• Load and secure materials onto the CNC Rover A machine
• Follow production schedules and operational instructions
• Support selection and use of correct machine programs
• Monitor machine operations under supervision
• Identify and report machine faults or production issues
• Remove finished components and conduct basic quality checks
• Maintain clean and safe work environment at all times
• Follow all safety procedures and equipment handling rules
• Assist with routine cleaning and basic machine maintenance
• Report production concerns to supervisor or CNC Operator
• Support workflow efficiency in the manufacturing process
Requirements And Skills
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 0 to 2 years manufacturing or CNC experience (advantageous)
• Basic understanding of technical drawings (advantageous)
• Willingness to learn CNC machine operations
• Good physical fitness for handling materials
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow instructions precisely
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Responsible and safety conscious mindset
• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (advantageous)
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
