This contract position sits in the Client Group Operations Employee Benefits division and focuses on retirement fund administration and claims processing within a fast paced financial services environment.

Job Overview

The Junior Employee Benefits Claims Administrator supports the processing and administration of employee benefits claims. You will work with retirement fund claims, ensuring accurate documentation, timely payments, and compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

This role is suited to candidates who are detail oriented, organised and interested in building a career in financial services administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify all claims documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Follow up on outstanding documents required for claim processing
• Process disinvestment and payment of claims including retirement, death and divorce benefits
• Submit applications for tax directives with SARS
• Monitor and resolve tax directive issues and follow up failures
• Update claim information and workflow notes on the Everest system
• Maintain daily monitoring of workflow reports
• Scan, file and archive physical documents accurately
• Capture nomination of beneficiary forms into system databases
• Collaborate with internal teams including consultants, administrators and fund accountants
• Ensure claims are processed within required turnaround times
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with company procedures

Requirements And Skills

• Grade 12 or Matric is required
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
• Strong numerical ability and analytical thinking
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to multitask in a structured environment
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proactive approach with accountability for tasks
• Strong problem solving ability
