Job Overview

The Permanent Part-Timer role supports the store management team in delivering a consistent and high quality retail experience. You will assist customers, process sales transactions, and support product flow from the stockroom to the sales floor. The role also includes merchandising support, housekeeping duties, and adherence to store policies and procedures. You will be expected to engage with customers, provide product guidance, and help achieve store sales targets. This position requires flexibility, energy, and a strong focus on customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to all store visitors
• Assist with sales transactions including cash, card, and other payments
• Support product ticketing and stock verification processes
• Assist in moving stock from stockroom to sales floor
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and store displays
• Use selling techniques to support sales growth and add on sales
• Greet and assist customers in finding suitable products
• Support store housekeeping and cleanliness standards
• Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies or issues
• Follow loss prevention and security procedures at all times
• Assist with training and product knowledge development sessions
• Use point of sale systems accurately and efficiently
• Support store promotions and product awareness activities

Requirements And Skills

• Matric certificate
• 0 to 1 year retail experience preferred but not required
• Strong interest in fashion, sportswear, and retail sales
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced retail environment
• Flexible availability including weekends and busy trading hours
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow instructions and store procedures
• Customer focused mindset with strong service orientation
• Team player with positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and improve retail skills
• Basic computer or POS system understanding is an advantage
