Clicks Group is hiring 10 Shop Assistant Cashier positions at The Berg store. Job Overview And Purpose

The purpose of this role is to deliver efficient customer service at the point of sale while supporting store operations and merchandising standards. You will be responsible for processing customer purchases accurately, handling payments and promoting Clicks loyalty programmes.

You will act as a brand ambassador by providing friendly, professional and helpful service at all times. The role also involves promoting special offers, maintaining store presentation and supporting overall customer satisfaction in line with company values.

Key Responsibilities And Duties

• Process all point of sale transactions accurately and efficiently
• Scan merchandise and handle customer payments correctly
• Ensure safe handling and balancing of cash at all times
• Promote and enrol customers into the Clicks ClubCard programme
• Inform customers about promotions and special offers
• Deliver friendly, professional and helpful customer service
• Maintain store merchandising and display standards
• Assist with stock replenishment and general housekeeping
• Maintain awareness of product ranges, promotions and store activities
• Support smooth daily store operations and customer flow
• Follow company policies and operational procedures
• Ensure accuracy in all transaction and POS activities

Requirements And Skills

• Grade 12 essential
• Maths 50 percent and English 50 percent at Grade 12 level is advantageous
• Previous retail or FMCG customer service experience is an advantage
• Strong basic numeracy and cash handling skills
• Good communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work in a fast paced retail environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Basic computer literacy
• Problem solving ability in customer service situations
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
