Virgin Active South Africa is looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join its Bel Air club in Johannesburg as a Club V Attendant on a 22.5-hour, three-month secondment contract. As a Club V Attendant, you will help make every visit to Club V a memorable experience by providing fun, educational and interactive activities for children while maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment. You will also ensure that operational procedures are followed, access to the facility is managed correctly and all children receive the highest standard of care. Minimum Requirements

• Clear criminal record.
• Valid and up-to-date First Aid training.
• Up-to-date in-house Club V training.
• Up-to-date Active Play training.
• Genuine affinity for working with children.
• Ability to entertain and engage children confidently.
• Ability to conduct physical games and activities.
• Willingness to learn and implement new junior programmes.

The ideal candidate should also demonstrate adaptability, initiative and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the electronic access and exit of all Club V members.
• Ensure access cards are valid and contain the correct information.
• Monitor and enforce the two consecutive hour usage rule.
• Follow the monthly activity roster and themed programmes.
• Plan and deliver engaging educational and recreational activities.
• Create a welcoming, nurturing and stimulating environment for babies, toddlers and young children.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout the Club V facility.
• Follow all emergency procedures accurately and confidently.
• Ensure compliance with Virgin Active operational standards and procedures.
• Maintain control of the Club V environment during operating hours.
• Report incidents immediately to the Manager on Duty or Club V Coordinator.
• Manage toys, books, games, arts and crafts materials, movement equipment and consumable stock using the required checklists.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to both parents and children.
• Help create positive experiences that encourage member loyalty.
