Driver: Light Duty Opportunity at Ford Kroonstad

Motus Corporation is inviting applications for a permanent Driver: Light Duty position at Ford Kroonstad in the Free State. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with excellent driving skills, a valid Code 10 driver’s licence and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) who are looking to build a career in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicles safely, performing vehicle inspections and supporting daily dealership operations. Job Overview and Responsibilities

• Safely transport vehicles between the dealership, customers and suppliers as required.
• Inspect vehicles for defects, damage and roadworthiness before moving them.
• Check new vehicles for missing tools, spare wheels and any visible defects before reporting findings to management.
• Ensure all vehicles are securely locked and that keys are stored safely after use.
• Start parked vehicles regularly to maintain battery condition.
• Report all accidents, incidents and traffic offences immediately.
• Assist with driver training for customers during new vehicle handovers.
• Complete all required documentation and reports related to driver training sessions.
• Work overtime and night shifts when operational requirements demand.
• Support the dealership with additional reasonable duties assigned by management.
• Assist with translation when able to communicate in additional languages.
• Help maintain a safe, organised and efficient dealership environment.

Requirements and Skills

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Valid Code 10 (C1) driver’s licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organisational abilities.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Customer-focused approach with a professional attitude.
• Driver Trainer qualification with an OEM or similar will be advantageous.
• Willingness to work overtime and night shifts when required.
• Commitment to following road safety regulations and company procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and complete required reports.
