Job Overview and Responsibilities
The ATM Recon Clerk will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of ATM reconciliation activities within the Cash Centre. The position involves checking reconciliation reports, verifying control documentation and cash records, investigating discrepancies and ensuring that outstanding issues receive the appropriate follow-up. The successful candidate will also work closely with branch teams, the counting house, Head Office coordinators and other relevant stakeholders to resolve reconciliation matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct daily ATM reconciliation activities and ensure all information is accurate and complete.
- Check the ATM 200 system daily using the required control sheets.
- Complete EOD checks and run reconciliation reports.
- Verify reconciliation information and supporting documentation before submission.
- Identify, investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
- Liaise with the Head Office coordinator regarding outstanding reconciliation issues.
- Work with the Branch Manager and counting house to resolve reconciliation problems.
- Provide timely feedback on investigations and unresolved matters.
- Ensure reconciliation issues and required feedback reach Head Office within prescribed deadlines.
- Maintain the integrity of information used for planning and management reporting.
- Execute control procedures and verify reconciliations and analyses before information is forwarded.
- Provide operational support to settlements and branches.
- Assist with general, personnel and logistical administration.
- Support client service and maintain effective communication between relevant parties.
- Develop and maintain control mechanisms that support operational action plans.
- Participate in regional strategic planning and contribute to project planning.
- Keep up to date with developments in the security industry.
- Assist with ensuring that operational procedures and directives are implemented.
- Support induction and training relating to relevant operational procedures.
- Review standard charges to ensure services rendered are correctly invoiced.
- Check that terminated services are no longer being invoiced and identify opportunities to prevent unnecessary credit notes.
- Institute corrective action where required.
- Work towards daily deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
